We love that the sun is out, so we’ve searched for a few ways you can make the most out of it, starting with a couple of fun, outdoor things coming up in May.
For something a little bit different, the Rooftop Film Club has perfected the art of outdoor cinema with comfy director chairs, blankets, a barbecue, and wireless headphones. Taking over the rooftops of the Bussey Building in Peckham Rye and the Queen of Hoxton in Shoreditch for most of May, the Rooftop Film Club is screening a huge selection of cinema classics under the stars. Running five days a week, sit back and enjoy the likes of Dirty Dancing, Bugsy Malone, The Breakfast Club, The Graduate, and Trainspotting, just to name a few films on the bill this season. Visit the Rooftop Film Club website to find film listings.

Their beautiful music, performed in a very informal atmosphere, is set to include Prokofiev’s First Symphony, music from the film Lieutenant Kijé and from the ballet Romeo & Juliet. There will be big screens mounted on either side of the stage guaranteeing the crowd a good view, but arrive early on the day if you’re after one of the best seats in the square.
