Travel Prize

For the first time this year myOE offered 20 UK Travel Prizes through selected Australian and New Zealand Universities. There was one prize up for grabs at every participating university and all students due to finish their degree in 2009 were eligible to enter. This will now be an annual competition.

Our selection panel was looking for winners whom we believed had the right attitude to make the trip a life changing journey.

Each of the unique UK Travel Prizes was valued at $8,000! A two-week group tour of London and the UK, these prizes included:

• Return airfares from Sydney or Auckland to London
• Accommodation at the myOE London Guest House
• Adventures in the myOE van to UK's top sites plus lots of free time
• Allocated travel expenses and spending money.

Major Cash Prize

The winners of the UK Tour were invited to create their own 'myOE Diary' website, describing their tour experiences through blogs and photos. The recipient who created the best travel diary website was awarded the AUD$4,500 myOE Major Cash Prize.

The two-week UK Travel Prize Tour took place during the break between Semesters One and Two in June/July 2009. Students travelled in groups with other myOE prize recipients.
